Firefox XML search broken

Firefox can show XML files, nicely indented and with pretty colors. However, searching text in an XML file does not work correctly. When pressing Ctrl-F and searching for some text which is present in the XML file, Firefox will report it has not found anything.

• Find/Search feature doesn't find text that is present in an XML document upon the first search
• Find Previous doesn't work in xml document tree view

Workaround

You can also view the source using View, Page Source or Ctrl-Shift-U. The source of the XML is of course the same as the XML displayed in Firefox, except that searching in the source works correctly.

Clicking in the document before searching may also work, but still the Previous and Highlight all buttons do not work.
